Public Release - Build 0.5 (Superfang route)


Hello hello, friends!

The day is finally here.  I suspect a lot of you have been waiting to spend some quality time with the friendly tiger, and now, you finally can! The build is about as long as the Mnesis route update, offering a good chunk of the story, with some new Sentinels lore, new art assets, music, and some general improvements to the visual novel. 

We thought it would be appropriate at this time to recruit some extra help with editing sprites for new expressions and minor details, so that Swaggy could dedicate his full attention to CGs and new character sprites. As such, please welcome Gabi and Sha to our team! They've both done some work for this build already, and you might notice new expressions for Greg and the Baron, for instance. We look forward to working them again, so expect a lot more expressions for existing characters in future updates.

We have some new music from Hop-Skip & The Chewtoys in the build, and even more that hasn't been used yet. I'm incredibly excited for the scenes that will utilize those tracks, and you can listen to a couple of them on the YouTube channel already.

Finally, a note on development: it's going well! The Baron-in-Black build will arrive for patrons in July,  and I'm quite confident readers will be interested to check out the rat's content. As you will be able to tell after playing the current update, each route has very unique content, and I wouldn't advise missing Baron's, even if the rat hasn't (yet) endeared himself to you. 

Back to this update - as far as I know, saves should be working fine for all platforms. Hopefully nothing is broken. 

Changelog for Build 0.5:

  • New story chapter (approximately 13k words) for the Superfang route;
  • Two new character sprites;
  • New expressions for existing sprites;
  • Three new original music tracks by Hop-Skip & The Chewtoys ("Earn_the_Amazing_the_Spectacular",  "The_Alley_Cats_Night_Out", "The_Dental_Plan_Here_Sucks");
  • Added more sound effects - more to come in future builds;
  • A new credits screen at the end of each build (if you want to check out everyone's socials, be sure to click on their icon or text; just be aware of potential nsfw content :D );
  •  Minor typo & error fixes.

As always, please make sure to report any typos or bugs, preferably on our Discord server.

P.S. To access the route, make sure you have chosen Superfang as your mentor when prompted. That's it, nothing else required.

The update doesn't seem to work for me? I get this screen and then it is the thank you screen

That's odd. Try skipping from the start and make sure you're on the correct route

Ok, I uninstalled it and started a new game and now it works fine!

Although the art of Jess wasn't showing up, not sure if that is a bug or if it just isnt in the game yet! :)

She doesn't have one yet, but we'll get around to adding a sprite for her in the future.

Its true, he is hot o start with, then he gets rather adorable!!! But i wonder... can he go bigger? If he hasn't already, I wonder how it would be triggered to happen, if you allow it! MewMewPOWA! XD ^^; that was lame

Awesome update! Love learning about the team and their powers. Also interesting to see the hero we choose changes our weapon too.

Why Lucas so much reminds me about Billy Hill, "Thursday" movie character by actorJames LeGros?
