Hello, friends! Bringing you the newest public update, this time for the Superfang's route. If you wanted to spend some time at the beach with everyone's favorite striped superhero, now's your chance. 

Before diving into the build though, I have some general announcements I'd like to share. First, if you haven't had a chance to do so yet, our lead composer Hop-Skip & The Chewtoys has published Volume 1 of the Super-Nova ost  over at Bandcamp. All proceeds go to the local animal shelter in his hometown. Check it out and consider lending your support!

Next, let's talk a little bit about future plans. For the past several updates, we've been rotating between the three routes, with the next update being for Baron's route. However, following build 0.10, development will switch gear to (mostly) focus on one route, specifically Superfang's, until about 2/3 into the route. We will have Mnesis and Baron updates sprinkled in occasionally, but most of the focus will be there. I won't go into too much detail regarding my reasoning here, but if you'd like more details on why the decision was made, consider supporting our patreon to read the exclusive devlog.

Related to the above, I want to definitively confirm that there will be no explicit sexual content in the visual novel. It will still feature romance with the chosen route character, albeit very much slow burn, and there will be references to the topic and even perhaps fade-to-black scenes, but there will be no sex portrayed onscreen. I realize this might be disappointing for some readers, but I do hope that if they've stuck with the novel thus far, they already know that the focus of the story lies elsewhere. 

Additionally, there's currently a poll on our patreon to decide what side story will be written for Super-Nova first. While all of the presented options will (likely) be eventually written and published, first for patrons and then added to the novel itself, it will be a while before we get there, so the poll will determine which one we'll see first. The options are a short story about the incident that led to the appearance of superpowers, a longer story detailing some of the past of Jacob the Wolf, and the longest options of the three - the story of the first wearer of Templar's bracelet. If you want to weigh in on the poll, consider subscribing to the Hero tier or higher to be able to vote. The poll will stay up for some time before we make the final decision.

With that, let's get back to the current update, shall we? In build 0.9, you'll find:

• New story chapter (approximately 10k words) for the Superfang route;
• 2 new sprites and several new expressions and outfits for old sprites (primarily for Superfang);
• 4 new music tracks by Hop-Skip & The Chewtoys: "Only DiCaprio Can Do My Biopic Justice", "Her Slow Drip", "Like Driving Around at Midnight", and "There's This Thing with Me and Words". You can hear them in the VN as well as listen to them in the music player in the Extras menu;
• Tweaked some elements of Extras. Among them, the Home button on the phone screen will now simply close Extras, instead of taking you to the Main Menu;
• Updated Fanart Gallery, Character Profiles & Sprite Gallery, and Music Room;
• Typo & error fixes.

Do note that there's one choice in the update that leads to a branch of the story that hasn't been written yet. It will be added in a future update. You might not see the choice at all depending on your previous ones, but either way, don't worry about it for now.

Please  use the Chapter Select feature to access the latest content. This will ensure that all of the Extras, especially the Character Profiles, are displaying correctly. Please make sure to report any typos or bugs, preferably on our Discord server.
